Pots & Fruit

In this first series of Pots &, I'm spotlighting the lovely new fruit bowl that I've been slowly working on for the past couple of months.  This bowl came out of a need to have somewhere other than my countertop to hold my fruit.

Enter the Lace Fruit Bowl.

Did you know that displaying fruit is a big application in feng shui?  Neither did I.   Apparently fruits are used as symbols to bring abundance, prosperity, and good luck.

So, lets feng shui your fruit!

Apples have always been associated with good health, peace, and harmony.  The red color of apples is believed to bring prosperity and abundance.

Peaches are one of the most popular feng shui fruit symbolizing immortality.

Doesn't this just look calm and peaceful?  I was just putting fruit in a bowl.. I had no idea I was feng shui-ing!

With all it's seeds, pomegranates symbolize fertility.

Oranges and other citrus fruits can ward off bad luck, and it's traditional to display 9 oranges in one's kitchen for good luck and prosperity.

Pineapples are a symbol of wealth and fortune.  You bet I'll be picking one of those up at the store this week and eating my weight in it!

So, next time you're in the market, pick up some fruit to feng shui your life!

Thanks for following along!  Next up in the series will be Pots & Flowers.  Stay tuned!
